The Failed State Index

ForeignPolicy.com recently released their latest annual edition of the Failed State Index (registration and possibly a subscription now required) detailing the economic situations of the worst countries in the world.

Zimbabwe is doing terribly. One interesting fact to note: Harvard's endowment is bigger than the GNP of more than 150 countries. The endowment is very close to hitting $30 billion, which makes Harvard the second richest nongovernmental institution in the world behind only the Roman Catholic Church.
