Shakespeare overload. Harry Potter way overload.

One week per year in Boston, the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company goes down to the oldest public park in the history of the country and performs A Midsummer Night's Dream for free. The park happens to be Boston Common, and it happens to be a short T stop away. I think I'm going to head out there tonight and perhaps take a little homework with me so that I don't feel guilty.

If that were not enough, there also happens to be a free performance of Henry IV tomorrow in Sander's Theater -- the theater that is attached to the dining hall at Annenberg Hall here on campus. I don't know if I can make it to that one, that is a bit much. I need to start limiting my activities and putting more effort into my class since this one is a bit more intensive. We'll see how it goes.

So, the thing about the dining hall in Annenberg is that everyone keeps talking about how it is "just like Harry Potter!" That book has consumed the world. I don't know what they're talking about, but I'm guessing it is a scene in one of the movies.

So tonight is "Harry Potter" night. Harvard is going to somehow dress of the hall to make it look "just like Harry Potter!" and then serve some sort of Harry Potter themed foods. It is good to know that my $25,000 is going to good use. I'd hate for it to be wasted on something stupid like air conditioning for our rooms. On my way to Provincetown last weekend, half the bus was reading the book. People are still sitting on street corners reading it today. Can it really be THAT good?

I want a full report on Harry Potter night!

I just watched two Harry Potter movies in preparation for seeing the new one that came out, and your dining hall looks JUST LIKE THE ONE AT HOGWARTS! :) I'm still in line behind Mommy and Pat for reading the last book, but I'm sure it's THAT good.

Yes, Rick, Harry Potter is that good. I got my copy Saturday am and Granny O read it first and finished it day before yesterday and I started it yesterday pm and I finished it this afternoon. Having read all of the books and seen the movies released so far, I freely and happily confess to being a Potter-head.
