The Painted Desert

We barreled on through the southwest today, seeing Meteor Crater, the Petrified Forest, and we're now in the Painted Desert, which is still part of the Petrified Forest...kind of.

If you look hard enough on the side of the rocks, you'll find drawing left by Natives who once lived in this near-desolate area:

We also encountered ancient ruins as well, which felt like our own little southwestern version of the Roman ruins one could encounter throughout England.

Not much time to post right now...it's back on the road!

Great posts Rick. I don't know if you can tell who or how many readers you have, but I don't miss any of them. Keep 'em coming.

Thanks, Walter! My apologies for the lag to real time. It can be hard to keep up while on the road.
